OUR Crew Well-being Programme

Step one

Well-being Discovery

We work with senior crew to discover how their team is performing, what works, what doesn’t work, and what the pressure and pain points are. We do this by using an industry-leading, psychometric measuring six distinct domains of Resilience - Vision, Composure, Reasoning, Health, Tenacity, Collaboration.

Step two

Crew Well-Being Charter

We work with the senior crew to create a Well-being Charter for their vessel and set out their vision, goals, ways of working, and the type of culture that is desired.

Step three

BEING AT YOUR BEST

Helping you to THRIVE. Our unique seven-module training program for all crew (each module takes two hours). Crew members will learn how to:

  • Build confidence and resilience

  • Turn change into opportunity

  • Gain personal insight

  • Build stronger relationships

  • Bring goals into reach

  • Connect with meaning

THE MODULES

1. VISION: Goals, self-worth, personal values.

2. TENACITY: Being optimistic through adverse situations and dealing with ambiguity through persistence.

3. HEALTH: Importance of exercising, eating, and sleeping well.

4. REASONING: Being resourceful, adapting to change and problem-solving

5. COLLABORATION: Working with others, in work and life, creating networks of support

6. COMPOSURE: Regulating and understanding emotions. Learning techniques to cope with stress.

7. MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS: A basic knowledge of common mental health issues giving Crew an introduction to looking after their own mental health and wellbeing and confidence to offer support to someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue.

Step four

Better Leaders

The Leadership Challenge – an eight-module training program for the senior crew (each module takes two hours). The Senior crew will learn how to:

  • Identify their leadership strengths and weaknesses

  • Inspire others to share a common vision  

  • Build collaboration, teamwork, and trust

  • Create a culture of well-being where crew thrive

Step five

Sustain Well-Being on-board

Crew Well-being Leadership Coaching for the senior crew to support them with their own well-being and enable them to lead well-being for others.

Crew Well-being Charter in Action to establish Crew Well-being champions and support them with implementing their Crew Well-being Charter.

The Crew Well-being App

Our App is effectively a Resilience Coach in your pocket. It reinforces what is covered in the modules and helps to improve health and well-being. The App helps your crew to learn and grow with over 200 daily chats, videos, and resources. It also includes links to all SOS helplines.
