In Charlie’s live events and workshops, he draws upon his rich life experience and combines this with cutting-edge research from science and psychology to give people tools and techniques that they can act upon immediately that will catalyse their performance and well-being.
His passion for helping people build resilience stems from working with people who are busy, time-poor, stressed, and in some cases burnt out who wanted to increase their energy and manage stress better. He also has his own story in not becoming the professional sportsman he had dreamed of being, due to struggling to be at his best when it counted and from being involved in a traumatic car accident with his sister who almost died. This incident eventually inspired his research into resilience and overcoming adversity and showed him the importance of developing a growth mindset and building mental toughness.

Matthew Boyle
With over 20 years of experience in personal development, counselling, and coaching, Matthew is dedicated to helping individuals and organisations grow and thrive. For the past decade, he has facilitated groups and retreats as a Holistic Counsellor, combining his expertise as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Psychosynthesis Leadership Coach. Accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Matthew’s approach is centred on understanding the whole person—both the conscious and unconscious aspects that influence how we live and work.
Matthew also draws on more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where he founded an award-winning company and led numerous individuals and teams. Working in high-pressure environments gave him a deep understanding of the challenges leaders and teams face, from meeting demanding expectations to navigating interpersonal dynamics.
Over the years, Matthew has seen how personal and professional lives are deeply interconnected. He believes that lasting change comes from looking beyond surface-level challenges to explore the patterns and behaviours that hold us back—often shaped by unconscious influences. By helping clients gain clarity about these deeper dynamics, he supports them in unlocking their potential, improving relationships, and leading more fulfilling lives.
Matthew’s approach is grounded in the idea that true growth comes from recognising and addressing the whole human experience—our thoughts, emotions, values, and needs. Whether working with individuals or teams, he creates a safe space for reflection and transformation, helping people find new ways to overcome challenges and thrive.
When not working, Matthew pursues his passion for competitive sailing. He divides his time between the UK and Palma de Mallorca and competes regularly on the superyacht regatta circuit—a pastime that reflects his love of teamwork, resilience, and high performance.
